Comprehensive Plan
Scarborough, Maine
TPUDC worked with the Town of Scarborough, Maine to lead the update of their Comprehensive Plan. The public outreach and engagement process included a Community Kick-Off event, a series of public meetings via Town Committees as well as a week-long Planapalooza™. The team lead the community in the identification of nine “Guiding Principles,” that built on the City’s goals of resiliency and livability, and will provide strategies to help the City achieve those goals. TPUDC created conceptual plans and renderings for Oak Hill and Dunstan, two of the main mixed-use nodes along the Route 1 corridor. TPUDC and the Town worked closely with various committees to develop the recommendations that were ultimately included in the adopted Comprehensive Plan. In 2021, the Plan was found to be consistent with MRSA Title 30-A and Chapter 208 of the State of Maine’s Comprehensive Plan Revision Criteria Rule.
